A couple of my girlfriend's daughters have birthdays on the same day, just a year apart. Since we're in tough economic times over here, I resorted to my go-to gift for little girls, a Black Apple Doll by the talented Emily Martin. I would like to say that since this was the 4th and 5th time making these that I had worked out all the kinks and mishaps that required the seam ripper that past 3 times, but no such luck. I always manage to screw up something. Ah well, I still love making them. The little girls I have gifted them to in the past really seem to like them, so hopefully little Ava (turning 2) and little Irene (turning 1) will enjoy them too!
I thought it would be fun to make these two slightly matchy matchy since they are going to two little girls who share a birthday.
