Project completed: glass etching.

Wow, look at me go. Two FINISHED projects in one week. I feel so productive!
(Just don't look in my laundry room, bathroom, or bedroom. Hey, something has got to give when you're making time for crafts!)

I don't know if it's the case in other states, but here in Utah etching your last name onto a casserole dish is the thing to do at enrichment night. It is quite handy, so I did this for my friend who is getting married in a week. (I am pretty sure she doesn't even know this blog exists, so the cat's not out of the bag.) I used THIS TUTORIAL, and it was all very simple and straightforward. So, if you are in need of a gift, or just want to spruce up your own dishes, this is a great project that can be completed in no time at all, and for very little money.
With just a few products...
and a few simple steps...
you can have one of these!
Now your casserole dish wont go missing after a potluck.

HELPFUL TIPS:
- Armour Etch can be purchased at Michaels. I tried Jo-Ann Fabrics and they did not carry it. It's kind of expensive ($12 for 3 ounces) so wait for a Michaels 40% off coupon.
- I'd let the etching cream sit longer than the specified 60 seconds. Wait 5-10 minutes before washing
it off.
-Make sure you have a sharp x-acto knife. Trust me, it will make this project much simpler.
