MAY Giveaway

MAY GIVEAWAY
Mother's Day is this month.  I don't live in the same state as my mom, but if I did the two of us would be sneaking away together to enjoy a breakfast or lunch together.  Which is why I decided to make this month's giveaway a gift card to Kneaders.

If you love their food as much as me, then leave a comment telling me about your favorite Mother's Day memory.

One of my favorite Mother's Day was when I flew to Idaho to surprise my mom.  I was living in Arizona at the time, and she hadn't seen my son since he was born.  So I took my first solo flight with my 8 month old and we tried to surprise my mom.  I say tried because I am pretty sure my dad gave it away prior to my arrival.  However, my mom still acted surprised and she really was happy to see us.

Good luck everyone!

  1. We didn't do a whole lot for Mother's Day growing up so I don't have a memory. But I live a hop skip and a jump a way from her and that means the world to me that I can see her when ever I want to. Does that count

  2. My oldest daughter was born a week before Mother's Day, so I will always remember the Mother's Day of 2006, as my first. I also remember getting my mom a cute clock for that Mother's Day, to tell her how grateful for the time she devoted to me and my new arrival!

I can still picture all the places we went together while you were here. Dinner at the Mexican place in Kuna, ice cream with Traci and family. Good times for sure. 4. My favorite is when I came home and surprised my mom too. Drove home from BYU.

  5. My favorite was my first year I was married. I didn't have children of my own but Jared surprised me with a gift. I wasn't expecting anything at all. It was simple: a robe and a CD. The robe has since been thrown away and I don't even remember what the title of the CD was, other than the fact that it was a male singer and piano. But what meant so much to me was that he recognized that I would be a mother, a mother to his children eternally, then grandmother and so on, with many generations created by just us two people.

This year was a good Mother's Day for me. Just laid back with my little family and mom. I gave her a necklace that says mom and grandma on it that she loved. That made me happy. :)

  7. I know it may sound silly, but I love the handmade gifts from my kiddos. They are so proud of their gifts and I love to see how they light up when they give them to me.
